Senior Mechanical Engineer Role
This is a mid-level Senior Mechanical Engineer position based in Melbourne, VIC, Australia. The role involves collaborating with senior engineers to design, prototype, and fabricate components of robotic systems.
About the Position
* Work within a multidisciplinary team to develop complex robotic systems that deliver value to end-users.
* Design and analyze mechanical sub-systems, including structural and dynamic analyses.
* Design, prototype, and build complex mechanisms and actuated systems.
* Support the entire product lifecycle from design to field testing and support.
* Travel for customer, vendor, or team co-location as required.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field, along with professional experience as a Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineer. Ability to work on complex robotic systems holistically and obtain/maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance are also essential.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience with robotic/autonomous systems, defense, aerospace domains.
* Proficiency with SolidWorks, finite element analysis, manufacturing processes.
