We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Development Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that development applications are processed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate records and files in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines
* Process development applications, including calculations of fee estimates and receipt of payments
* Provide administrative support to the Planning, Regulatory, and Environmental Health teams
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
Essential Criteria:
* Certificate IV Business Administration or equivalent qualification
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a fast-paced administrative environment, with contemporary knowledge of administration functions
* Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Acts, Regulations, and Guidelines in relation to planning and regulatory matters
* High-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
* Able to interpret policies and procedures, and recognize when to defer to other team members for clarification or escalation
* Demonstrated ability to use initiative and discretion in carrying out tasks and upholding confidentialities
