**The Role**
An opportunity currently exists for a Head of HSE (AsPac) to lead the business in their ongoing journey to promote a proactive safety culture. Reporting into the Chief HR Officer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and communicating the strategic plan and lead the overall Health, Safety & Environment function across Asia Pacific. You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to drive cultural change to create a focus on behaviours, accountability and empowerment.
As a strategic leader, you will provide advice to the Executive Leadership Team on how to continually improve HSE outcomes whilst leading, coaching and further developing the Health, Safety & Environment team. In addition, you will:
- Develop and review enterprise HSE strategy and risk reduction initiatives/programs in collaboration with the business
- Develop agreed HSE performance metrics in collaboration with the Executive Management Team and the business and ensure accurate and timely reporting on key performance metrics for both Group and Asia Pacific.
- Monitor the effectiveness of Serco's strategic plans and related performance indicators, providing reliable information about performance to the Executive Management Team, Board of Directors and other stakeholders within ASPAC.
- Provide oversight for the ongoing effectiveness of the HSE Management Framework and System ensuring currency with legislation, international standards, Group requirements and leading best practice
- Work in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Injury Services Operations Manager to ensure Workers Compensation insurances are humanised, optimised and provide cost effective cover for all of Asia Pacific's operations.
- Oversight of on-going reviews and auditing, monitoring reporting and evaluation of HSE certifications, including ISO45001 & ISO14001. AsPac will be looking to obtain ISO45003 in the future
