Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist to fill a specialist role in our team. As a senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for completing assessments, providing support and supervision, and developing plans to increase capacity and independence.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify areas of need and develop strategies to improve daily living skills and community participation
* Provide expert guidance and support to other Occupational Therapists, Graduates, and Allied Health Assistants to enhance their practice and confidence
* Collaborate with professionals to develop and implement individualized plans that promote skill-building and progress
* Utilize a strengths-based approach when working with clients to establish tailored support plans that cater to their unique needs
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and outcomes
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy (Degree)
* Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the relevant professional body
* Minimum 3 years of experience in Occupational Therapy, preferably in a disability or mental health setting
* Relevant training and certification in NDIS Worker Orientation Module
* Demonstrated expertise in working with individuals with disability and/or mental health diagnosis
* Proven track record of working effectively with NDIS participants and their families
