With ongoing growth and development of our company in the industrial power transmission equipment sector, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and driven Engineering Manager to drive cost effective solutions to our clients through exceptional engineering practice.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a full-time Mechanical Engineer to perform the role of Engineering Manager with working experience in the Power Transmission Industry. Further, we are looking for a long-term commitment and an individual with strong people skills and a proven professional and ethical record. This role will manage Customer Application Engineering, Projects and Aftersales team at our Queensland office based in Acacia Ridge, 4110.
To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years highly relevant, work experience in a similar role and as many as possible of the functions listed below.
* Degree in Mechanical Engineers, Subjects and Specialisation in Control Systems and Mechatronics will be advantageous along with international recognition by the Washington accords or similar with be highly regarded.
* 10+ Years Experience as an Engineer in the Power Transmission Industry.
* Proficient in English and excellent written and verbal communication (IELTS C1 Certification.
* Speak a second language, Italian, German, or Dutch will be highly regarded.
* Proficient, with MRP Systems like Dear and SAP.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
* Be able to prepare Engineering Drawings and Product development in either Inventors, SolidWorks or NX. (Inventor Preferred)
* Good fault finding and critical thinking skills.
* In depth knowledge of Gearboxes, Electric Motors, and Drive Couplings essential.
* Knowledge on Product Portfolio for known Italian and German OEM's like, Bonfiglioli, STM, SEW, Flender and NORD will be highly regarded.
* People Management Experience.
* Knowledge of local OHS and environmental legislation will be highly regarded.
* Long Tenure, and previous commitment history will be highly regarded.
* Own transport and valid Driver's License.
* Currently living in Australia with working rights.
* Provide technical engineering support to internal and external sales staff, together with client specifications.
* Provide technical engineering support for engineering and design specifications on customer projects.
Responsibilities
* Seek emergent business opportunities and develop need business.
* Grow current product portfolio, in response to market needs and emerging industry trends.
* Lead a small team of technical salespersons to pursue new opportunities and maintain current business.
* Ensure the delivery of Quality Service and Products.
* Monitor and report on client feedback.
* Consult, both Internally and Externally on new portfolio and customer projects and provide Engineering leadership through technical support.
* Perform Engineering Calculations in support of customer projects and application design support.
* Prepare technical drawings, and General Layout drawings of Drive Systems.
* Establish a continuous improvement system, with regular customer feedback to grow and improve the facility engineering capabilities.
* Review and engage with Suppliers on quality and maintain quality standards.
Formal Education
* Degree in Mechanical Engineers, Subjects and Specialisation in Control Systems and Mechatronics will be advantageous and international recognition by the Washington accords or similar.

Remuneration
An attractive remuneration package in the range of $120,000 - $130,000 per year (plus superannuation) will be offered to the successful candidate.
