A temporary teaching position is available at a specialist education service in South Australia.
We provide small group, short-term, intensive programs to support students who have been excluded from mainstream educational settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters respect, resilience, and safety.
* Apply evidence-based approaches to meet diverse student needs, including Positive Behaviour Support, restorative practice, relational repair, and trauma-sensitive methods.
* Develop and deliver tailored learning programs that promote engagement and pro-social skills through targeted literacy, numeracy, and personal development.
* Engage in student transition processes, identifying risks and collaborating with leadership and external partners.
* Contribute to case management and professional learning, refining educational practice to support positive outcomes.
Requirements
* Relevant teaching qualifications and registration as required by SA Department for Education.
* Experience in trauma-informed practices, Positive Behaviour Support, and working with students who have been excluded from schools is preferred.
