Job Overview
BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies. As an HR Business Partner, you will work closely with leaders across Australia and New Zealand to support people decisions that directly impact performance, capability and engagement. This 12‐month fixed‐term contract is ideal for an experienced HR Advisor or early‐stage HR Business Partner who enjoys working close to the business, using data to inform decisions and coaching leaders to think beyond immediate outcomes.
Day-to-Day
You will combine hands‐on HR delivery with genuine business partnering.
Responsibilities
* Partner with senior leaders to understand business priorities and translate them into practical HR plans and actions
* Provide HR advice across employee relations, performance management, compensation, talent development and change management
* Coach and support managers to strengthen leadership capability, team effectiveness and engagement
* Analyse workforce and HR data to identify trends, inform decision‐making and measure effectiveness of HR initiatives
* Support organisational design, workforce planning and change initiatives
* Partner with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment and retention of key roles
* Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters, including investigations where required
* Drive implementation of HR policies, processes and best practices, ensuring compliance with ANZ employment legislation
* Champion BD's culture and values, promoting inclusive and engaging workplace practices
* Partner with regional and global HR teams to ensure consistency and alignment
About You
You are commercially aware, confident engaging with stakeholders and comfortable working in environments that move quickly and expect thoughtful input.
Qualifications
* Solid experience in a business‐facing HR role
* Strong working knowledge of Australian and New Zealand employment legislation
* Experience supporting commercial or sales‐driven organisations (highly regarded)
* A clear interest in workforce analytics and using data to guide decisions
* Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence at multiple levels
* Strong communication, problem‐solving and organisational skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced environment
* Experience in MedTech, Pharma or other healthcare sales environments is a bonus but not mandatory
* Exposure to M&A or divestment activity is an advantage
