About The Opportunity
The EHS Manager is responsible for implementing regional EHS strategies and influencing the engagement of relevant stakeholders. This role requires a strong ability to facilitate and influence collaboration between teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement regional EHS systems management architecture
2. Lead indirect management of Safety coordinators
3. Provide proactive coaching on EHS best practices to frontline and senior management
4. Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance
5. Design and coordinate internal and external risk assessment programs
6. Maintain compliance with national audit standards
7. Manage local EHS regulatory policies and education training programs
8. Support implementation and maintenance of document control systems
9. Analyse EHS performance data, provide recommendations and drive improvement initiatives
10. Coordinate completion of local audits and self-audits
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* EHS qualification or equivalent
* Lean manufacturing, FMCG, construction or similar industry experience (highly desirable)
* Experience in multi-site operations and geographically dispersed workforce
* Workplace training and assessment skills (preferable)
* Solid working knowledge of WHSE technical and legislative requirements
* Experience in driving culture change and fostering EHS-focused environments
* Understanding of systems for monitoring, managing and analysing EHS performance
* Proven track record in implementing contemporary EHS management systems
* Previous experience in an organisation self-insured for Workers Comp (advantageous but not essential)
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
