Armidale Rural Referral Hospital is seeking two permanent full-time Staff Specialists in General Paediatrics to join its team.
Role Overview
* This is a challenging and rewarding role for experienced General Paediatricians who want to work in a rural setting, providing high-quality care to children and young people.
The successful candidates will be part of a dynamic and supportive team, working with colleagues from different disciplines to deliver excellent patient care. The hospital has a Level 4 Paediatric Unit with eight inpatient beds and a special care nursery, supporting a level 4 maternity unit with 450 deliveries annually.
Salary Information
Salary: $186,241 - $229,825 per annum, plus up to $20,000 in the first year under the Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
Job Description
This is a key leadership role within the Paediatrics Department, responsible for delivering clinical services, teaching, and research. The successful candidates will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
The clinical work involves a broad scope of skills, from neonatal care to inpatient care of children and young people up to 18 years. It also includes general outpatients, complex medical, behavioral, and developmental paediatrics. You will have opportunities to develop your own career interests and contribute to academic positions in the School of Rural Medicine at the University of New England.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (Paediatrics).
* Recent and comprehensive experience in General Paediatrics.
* Evidence of being a medical expert, scholar, skilled communicator, collaborator, manager, and professional.
