Are you ready to shape the future of secure digital service delivery in Defence?

The Directorate of Digital Service Delivery (DDSD) is seeking a dynamic and driven EL1 ICT Security Assessor to play a pivotal role in safeguarding the integrity of Defence's critical digital service delivery platforms—ServiceConnect, the DCAC Portal, and the Web Forms Portal. These platforms are central to delivering simplified, guided, and integrated services to the Defence Community. In this role, you will be at the heart of a collaborative, forward-thinking team, working alongside business owners, technical leads, and industry partners to ensure robust security across integrated service delivery solutions. You will report to the Program Director and receive technical guidance from the Defence Cyber and Information Assurance Branch in Joint Logistics Command. You will enjoy collaboration and working closely with strategy, research, delivery and sustainment teams.

About our Team

Our Directorate puts customers first. We take a user-centered, agile approach to solving problems and delivering simple, guided, and integrated digital solutions. We work closely with teams across Defence to understand their needs and create innovative services that make a real difference. We follow best practices from the Digital Transformation Agency and use Agile delivery methods to stay flexible, responsive, and focused on outcomes. Our team is passionate about improving service delivery and thrives in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. As Defence continues to invest in digital transformation, our team is growing - and so is our impact.

Our Ideal Candidate

The successful candidates will be passionate about ICT security assessments, risk analysis, and compliance audits across complex environments and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. They will have well-developed planning and project management skills, together with the ability to problem solve, prioritise tasks effectively and work collaboratively as part of an integrated team of Australian Public Service (APS) and Industry Partners.

They will have a proactive and detail-oriented mindset, with a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on emerging threats and technologies. Demonstrate a high level of communication and negotiation skills required for effective stakeholder engagement, and the ability to think strategically to plan, develop and implement service delivery outcomes that achieve program objectives. They will bring their mindset of customer advocacy, to constantly find new ways to support our users and ensure their digital services' needs are being met.
