About the Role
As an experienced Lending Specialist, you will be energetic and driven to identify opportunities to build our business through interactions with existing and new members within our branches and within the local community.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* initiating quality conversations with members to determine their goals and aspirations
* providing exceptional service to members and structuring deals according to our member's needs and objectives;
* undertaking lending appointments and completing applications from start through to post settlement
* retaining existing members by offering appropriate financial solutions that add value
* providing coaching to developing Lenders
* contacting prospective members referred by our direct channel
* developing a network of business referral partners to build the business organically
* supporting the region which includes branches in Cairns, Atherton and Weipa.
This is a fulltime salaried position, working a minimum 38 hours per week.
About You
To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate:
* Strong banking knowledge with an understanding of financial analysis and credit standards
* Mortgage & SME lending experience
* The ability to identify opportunities and build strong relationships to grow our business
* A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including negotiation, time management skills and conflict resolution
* High attention to detail including compliance and data integrity
