The Nepean Blue Mountains Health District offers a wide range of Medical Imaging (Radiology), Nuclear Medicine, and Nuclear Medical Therapy procedures through our various facilities/services with a goal to help diagnose, assess and treat patient's injury or disease.
Are you a Radiation Therapist looking to join a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and perform state-of-the-art techniques? As a Full Time Radiation Therapist based out of Nepean Hospital, you will simulate, plan and treat patients with ionizing radiation in a timely and efficient manner, all whilst maintaining technical radiation therapy standards. This role will see you contribute to the continuous development of clinical protocols and techniques within a dynamic team
Join a team of professionals performing state-of-art techniques and ensure a great work/life balance with a standard 9 day fortnight and the option for 4 day weeks when staffing numbers allow. University students in their final year are encouraged to apply and secure a post-graduate opportunity

What You Will Bring To The Role
* Bachelor's degree in medical Radiation Science (Radiation Therapy) or Bachelor of Applied Science or qualification deemed equivalent by employer; General Registration as a Medical Radiation Therapist by Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority and holder of IA13 and S13 Radiation User Licence (NSW EPA Licence).
* Recent and demonstrated sound knowledge and experience in all aspects of modern Image Guided Radiation Therapy, including online CBCT review with Soft Tissue matching.
* Recent and demonstrated experience and technical skills in advanced Planning techniques, incorporating multi-modality image registration for techniques such as IMRT and VMAT.
* Demonstrated evidence of contribution to a high functioning team that encourages collaboration, participation, and respect in shared team goals.
* Dedicated commitment in providing excellent and safe individual patient care, balanced against providing an efficient service for all patients.
* Open and friendly communicator with demonstrated communication skills in written, verbal, and electronic formats
* Demonstrated knowledge and application of radiation therapy quality assurance and quality controls, including radiation safety
* Active involvement in Continuing Professional Development and Training activities of self and others
