Admin/Public Law Lawyers
Proximity's Public Law practice is growing at an exciting pace, and we are looking for Public law & FOI Lawyers to join our team.
This is an opportunity to:
* Choose how to use your public law knowledge and experience through various opportunities with our clients
* Use your FOI experience to confidently manage FOI requests and draft responses that meet the department requirements for matters that may include subpoenas, statutory notices, and other instruments, the collection and disclosure of protected information
* Work onsite and closely with the client team to share knowledge and support other lawyers to meet the FOI response requests
* Assist the client to comply with privacy obligations and respond to privacy incidents by being adaptable and proactive as needed
* Provide advice in relation to secrecy provisions in legislation, and recommendations as required
* Work directly with Proximity's government clients across a range of sectors, addressing their challenges, and helping to design, develop, and deliver solutions supporting and upskilling them to build internal capability.

Use your Expertise & Skills:
* 5 years' experience providing FOI and privacy advice in public law environments
* Ability and desire to share knowledge and develop others
* Admitted Solicitor with current practicing certificate
Federal Government departments are a large client base for Proximity, and a current security clearance is therefore desirable.
