It's a part of our DNA and what drives us. We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Demi Chef de Partie to join us at Darwin Convention Centre on a 7-month contract! This role is an integral member of the Kitchen staff, catering quality food product to the guests of the Darwin Convention Centre. This roles responsibilities are: Preparation and service of all food products as directed by the Executive Chef Supervision of Catering Assistants Maintain clean and hygienic work area Comply with storage and stock rotation procedures as directed, to minimise wastage Receiving of goods Conduct and record internal stock transfers as directed Comply with Monika Temperature & Task Procedures Comply with ISO 22000 requirements ABOUT YOU Everyday our people are responsible for delivering extraordinary experiences for every guest who walks through our doors. You will: Have a Trade Qualification in Cooking Be a minimum of two years post apprenticeship Be able to demonstrate skills and knowledge required of trade qualifications Have knowledge of current Workplace Health and Safety procedures Desirably have exposure to banqueting and supervision of staff Be an excellent communicator Have excellent personal presentation and grooming Be able to meet deadlines while working under pressure Have the proven ability to use initiative Have a willingness to work as a team member Be attentive to detail Have flexibility with hours A satisfactory National Police Records Check is required for this role.
