We are looking for two finance managers. Dependent on expertise, and appetite for travel these two roles will appeal differently. One role will see you based and spending your workflows and time split between Brisbane and Tamworth. The other will see you based entirely in the Brisbane office.
These two great opportunities will be suited to commercially driven, growth-focused CA equivalent qualified finance leaders keen for a new career step. You will be moving into well-funded and well-regarded MSP / technology-based businesses.
Both of these integral roles sit as right hand to the CEO's in each of the respective businesses. There is a real mix of transactional, systems and commercial functions in your role here. You must be willing to role your sleeves up. The leaders in the business will thank you for it as you control and guises their monthly and annual reporting and budgeting.
Your work will have real impact here; providing assurance and integrity of their financial and commercial performance reporting, and helping them achieve their ambitious growth targets that sit under the broader umbrella of the private equity-based ownership model.
Your brief includes overseeing their financial health, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support their decision-making. This role requires a candidate who likes to get hands-on across the numbers, is self-motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented with strong communication, business partnering and influence skills.
These roles are agile in nature, and tasks will vary based on periods, clients, and other business requirements. The functions of this role include, but are not limited to:
* Providing financial leadership and oversee all facets of finance processes, and policies and procedures
* Ensuring timely and accurate production of financial reports, data and P&L, and for all months end close activities
* Completion of forecasts and annual budgets, including cash flow forecasting and management
* Providing sound and strategic financial support and insights to make critical business decisions
* Managing and overseeing all compliance activities including assurance and tax, and GAAP standards
* Acting as liaison with external accountants for specialist advice
* Managing regional accounting stakeholder relationships
* Risk Management, including development of risk frameworks
* Overseeing commercial decision-making from tender analysis, margin analysis, pricing analysis etc.
* Advising and implementing best-practice methods to increase revenue and reduce costs
* Implementing and maintaining a suite of relevant business performance metrics
* Leading / assisting with organisation wide improvement initiatives (system migrations, improving processes and controls, compliance with accounting initiatives, metrics tracking)
* Managing and tracking budget and financial performance
You must be well on your way in your accounting and finance leadership path, with a minimum of 7+ years of accounting experience, be CA qualified (or equivalent), and have great interpersonal and communication skills.
