Practice Information
This private practice was established in 2006 in Cairns and relocated to Malanda on the Atherton Tablelands in 2019. Since then, the practice has established an excellent reputation across the Tablelands for providing mental health social work to children, teens and adults within their community.
Position Description
They are seeking an experienced Accredited Mental Health Social Work Practitioner to join their team of senior Social Work Practitioners. They currently have three Social Workers, two with AASW Mental Health Accreditation. In the Role, you will provide psychological therapies to children, teens and adults offering a range of therapeutic modalities. The practice accepts referrals for people of all ages in a number of referral pathways: independently, via GP MHCP Referrals and via NDIS. The Role offered is for negotiable days and times, ideally a minimum of three days per week.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 5 years' experience as a Social Work Practitioner
* Mental Health Accreditation or working towards completing Accreditation in 2025 is required.

About Malanda
The practice is located at Malanda, a regional town on the Atherton Tablelands of Far North Queensland. Malanda has a general population of approximately 2000 people. There are many local services including health, wellness and beauty, gyms and sporting clubs as well as shopping and cafes. There are many natural attractions including the renowned Atherton Tablelands Waterfall Trail, hiking and MTB trail riding tracks. The township of Atherton is approximately 15 minutes drive and the larger town of Cairns is approximately 1.2hrs drive which offers a wide range of services including domestic and international airport.
