The Central Portfolios Finance Business Partnering team has responsibility for providing a range of quality financial management services, including business partnering, budgeting, planning, forecasting, analysis and reporting for allocated areas as determined by business need.This role will undertake a range of management accounting tasks, including assisting clients to achieve their business objectives through the provision of tailored, business focussed financial services and expert, informed guidance and advice.Additionally, the Management Accountant will contribute to continual improvement initiatives, projects and process reviews in order to enhance the offerings and delivery of service to key stakeholders and user groups.To be successful in the role, the ideal candidate will have:Knowledge, experience and expertise in providing quality finance, accounting and budgetary services with a focus on excellence in customer service.Demonstrated experience and expertise in developing, preparing and monitoring complex budgets, forecasting and income/expenditure managementHigh-level analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret data and identify evolving trends/issuesHighly-developed financial business partnering capabilities, including exceptional communication skills and the ability to interact with and gain commitment from a diverse range of stakeholdersProficiency in using financial accounting software, advance level of using Microsoft Office suite of applications such as Power BI and Power query as well as Excel modelling, utilisation of web technology and experience in the use of computer-based records systems/databasesRelevant tertiary qualifications in finance or business with significant relevant experience and skills in management and current membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA) or Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Australia.About Monash UniversityAtMonash, work feels different.
