Job Overview
You will work closely with Lead Legal Counsels and Chief Compliance & Integrity Officers to address key issues across the council.
Responsibilities
* Provide professional legal advice and services in line with Departmental Business Plans and relevant legislation.
* Analyse and advise on legal matters within designated portfolios.
* Develop strategic partnerships with stakeholders to achieve the city's objectives.
* Brief external legal advisors and monitor project performance.
* Negotiate and influence resolutions with diverse stakeholders.
About You
To succeed, you need a tertiary qualification in law and current practicing certificate in Victoria.
Essential Experience
* Minimum 2 years post-admission experience.
* Strong understanding of legislation and public sector practices.
* Proven ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
