Transactions Lead - Infrastructure DeliveryInvest Gold Coast is an investment and economic development organisation, established by the City of Gold Coast to facilitate growth and attract investment to Australia's fastest-growing city.With a highly experienced Board and specialised team, Invest Gold Coast promotes the city to Australian and overseas investors, facilitates major new investments, attracts new businesses, provides independent, commercial advice to the Council on investment opportunities, and supports the local business community, including export growth.The team focuses on high-growth sectors such as Health & Wellbeing, Building Future Industries, Education & Future Skills, Tourism, Sports & Major Events, Screen & Game Production, and the Knowledge Economy.About the roleWe are expanding our team and seeking a Transactions Lead responsible for developing and delivering infrastructure project opportunities for the Gold Coast.
You will assess project feasibility, considering economic, social, environmental, and aesthetic impacts, and oversee project delivery following Invest Gold Coast's Project Management methodology.You will provide specialist advice on feasibility studies, market-led proposals, approval processes, and commercial transaction shaping.Key responsibilities include:Facilitating and managing stakeholder relationships, including Council, government agencies, community, and businesses.Leading strategic decision-making across project lifecycles and ensuring projects adhere to management frameworks.Managing consultants, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality and value.Developing transaction options, including partnerships with government and private projects on government land.Considering all aspects of transactions and projects, such as land use, planning, design, economic outcomes, funding, and governance.Negotiating commercial terms with proponents.Monitoring progress, producing reports, and making recommendations within set timeframes.Providing expert advice to the General Manager on complex projects, including risk management and external consultant oversight.Supporting investment attraction and strategic initiatives as needed.Flexible work arrangements, including hybrid and flexible hours, are available.About youYou are a self-starter with motivation and experience in similar roles.
You can lead projects across their lifecycle, manage transactions, and conduct business case assessments aligned with State and Federal requirements.You hold tertiary qualifications in fields such as Town Planning, Urban Planning, Science, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or Property Economics, and a Diploma in Project Management or equivalent experience.How to applyIf you are ready to impact Gold Coast's investment and economic development, submit your resume and cover letter via SEEK.
