Job Description
Canex has an opportunity for 10 x Full time/Part time Bar Staff to work at Cairns or Port Douglas, North Queensland The roles can vary and you could be tasked with bar tending, cleaning, customer and general waiting on customers. For this exciting role you must have a good level of physical fitness, as you are often on your feet and active for the majority of your shift. Requirements:
* Ready and able to work long shifts (10 hours a day)
* Be flexible in your approach to work
* A great attitude with your work
* Be neat in tidy
* Be able to work alone or part of a team.
You will be required to work an average of 38 hours per week. The term of work will be from April 2026 to April 2027. You will be paid either under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award [MA000009]; Amusement, Events and Recreation Award [MA000080]; Restaurant Industry Award [MA000119]; Registered and Licensed Clubs Award [MA000058] or the General Retail Industry Award [MA000004].
* The work will range in pay from an ordinary rate of Level 1 $24/hr up to $27+/hr
* Working hours will vary from anywhere from 6am to 11pm, 7 days per week.
* Overtime rates will be paid where applicable
* Upskilling & additional allowances may also be paid if you were trained in extra tasks.
