Find out more about CALHN sites and services, our stories and the opportunities to be part of CALHN About the Role As a Nurse Consultant, you lead expert perioperative care and surgical support that lifts patient outcomes and theatre flow. You manage complex practice, build strong clinical partnerships and shape safer, smarter ways of working across the service. Key duties
* Lead expert surgical assist across perioperative care
* Partner with surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre teams
* Drive safe practice and align with policy and standards
* Build staff skill through coaching and education
* Shape service growth, policy and quality improvement
* Liaise with suppliers to support fit‐for‐purpose equipment
About You You are a confident perioperative Nurse Consultant who brings clinical credibility, calm leadership and a genuine drive to improve surgical care. You know what great looks like and work with teams to deliver it, every day.
* Current AHPRA registration as a registered nurse
* Postgraduate PNSA Masters or enrolment with approved provider
* Extensive perioperative experience aligned to PNSA study pathway
* Advanced surgical assist, including laparoscopic and robotic skills
* Clear communicator who leads, prioritises and drives safe practice
