The Station Grocer is a thriving and established convenience store and fuel business, renowned for its strong reputation in the Northern Rivers area. We are currently in search of a committed individual to take on a crucial managerial position as a Store Manager to ensure the efficient management of all operations.
As a family-owned and operated business with a strong presence of 9 stores in Northern NSW, we have been committed to delivering exceptional customer service and offering high-quality fuel and consumer products for nearly two decades.
We are looking for an individual who thrives in fast paced environments, possess effective operational skills and demonstrates strong leadership abilities.
The Manager's role is accountable for managing the daily operations of our convenience store and fuel business, ensuring outstanding customer service, and leading and developing a team of employees.
**Responsibilities**:
- A hands-on approach to managing and overseeing all aspects of the business' daily operations, including customer service, inventory management, and safety and security procedures
- Providing exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Leading and developing a team of employees, including recruitment, training, and performance management
- Fostering a positive work environment and culture that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and accountability
- Implementing and maintaining company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and suppliers
- Managing financial performance, including controlling expenses and maximising revenue opportunities
**Requirements**:
- At least 3-4 years of experience in a similar managerial position within the retail sector, or in hospitality management
- Excellent people management skills, with the ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team of employees
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and suppliers
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and maximise revenue opportunities
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative and practical solutions to complex issues
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Position Details:
- Competitive salary $65K-70K (based on experience)
- Full time position
- Hours: 40 hours/week
- Monday to Friday 6am-2pm
- Location: Northern Rivers
