TheOpportunity

In this position you will work as part of the Leisure CentreTeam ensuring that a high level of aquatic, recreation and fitnessservices are provided to the public. Your key role is to performpool supervision and operational services to ensure the delivery ofa healthy and safe aquatic environment for users. You will assistin the development and implementation of aquatic, fitness andrecreation programs and provide a high level of customerservice.

Responsibilities willinclude:

* Conducting watersampling tests of all pools and plant room adjustments toensure water quality complies with WA Health Departmentstandards;
* Ensuringthat the pool circulation and filtration systems are operatingcorrectly and plant rooms are clean and free ofhazards;
* Conducting maintenancetasks and, where necessary, reporting required maintenance torelevant staff;
* Coordinating the setupand removal of equipment, as well as cleaning, when requiredfor bookings, recreation programs and events;
* Cleaningchange rooms, pool and pool areas, toilets and showers asrequired;
* Operating plant,equipment, appropriate devices and protective equipment inaccordance with demonstrated safety procedures and providedinstruction;
* Providing effectivesupervision of all patrons and casual staff and ensuringworkplace safety and general safety standards aremaintained;
* Assisting with, orsupervising, the delivery of aquatic and recreational programsto patrons in line with current qualifications;
* Performing reception andadministrative duties and attending to customer complaints(ensuring a high level of customer service is provided at alltimes)

WesternAustralian Pool Lifeguard Qualification, Pool operationscertificate Group 1, Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus andChlorine Gas, current HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid Certificate,current WA Working with Children Check, current unrestricted WA "C"Class Driver's Licence and an acceptable National Police Clearanceare essential for this role.

You will also need demonstrated communication and customer service skills, timemanagement skills, knowledge and experience with computeroperations and understand administrative tasks.
