About The Role The Senior Vendor Analyst is responsible for managing all aspects of IT vendors, including contractual, financial, and performance management, in accordance with Essential Energy's procurement frameworks. This role involves IT vendor relationship management, due diligence, contract negotiation, performance management against Service Level Agreements, and the design and management of strategic IT supplier forums.
Key Accountabilities Manage Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT vendors in terms of overall relationship and performance against agreed Service Levels. Conduct vendor due diligence evaluations and assess the capability of IT vendors to deliver relevant, reliable, and cost-effective services. Negotiate and renew contracts and agreements with IT vendors to meet Essential Energy's business continuity needs. Financial management of assigned IT contracts to ensure value for money and realize savings. Develop and maintain IT vendor roadmaps aligned with Essential Energy's business needs. Establish and manage IT strategic supplier forums to identify industry capabilities and trends. Implement and maintain information security, knowledge management, continuous improvement, and risk management within the eTech team. Ensure software licensing agreement requirements are understood and accurately managed. About You You are a seasoned professional with extensive experience in vendor management for outsourced service delivery models. Your strong analytical and financial skills, combined with your ability to evaluate multiple contract and pricing alternatives, make you an invaluable asset. You excel in supplier relationship management, contract development, and compliance management. Your excellent communication skills enable you to negotiate and influence effectively. You are adept at project planning, financial management, risk and issue management, and stakeholder management. Your strong relationship management skills and meticulous organizational abilities ensure you can handle multiple tasks with precision.
In Addition To This You Will Have Extensive experience in a similar vendor management role for outsourced service delivery models. Expertise in supplier relationship management and contract development. Strong compliance management skills, including performance data collection and validation. Proficiency in applying procurement frameworks and guidelines in an IT environment. Experience in project planning, financial management, risk and issue management, and stakeholder management. Strategic analysis skills, including research into vendors, markets, and service categories. Ability to benchmark vendor performance and manage service improvement programs. Strong analytical and financial skills. Excellent relationship management and communication skills. Superior time management and organizational skills. Proficiency in relevant computer operations and business systems. Qualifications, Certifications, Licences, And Authorisations Required: Advanced Diploma of Government (Procurement and Contracting) or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
