The Opportunity
This role will be a key player in ensuring the smooth daily production outcomes of our operations. This is a unique opportunity for a current employee to take on a leadership role within our dynamic team.
The Role
Reporting to the Case Ready Manager, this role is responsible for the Production and has primary responsibility for the Production outcomes and results, including Safety. They are responsible for endeavouring to complete the plan from the Production Planner that maximises benefit to the company. The Retail Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the management of the Case Ready department and its staff.
•Liaise with the Sales team and Customers on orders with the aim of having all orders in the system within agreed time frames
•Ensuring Service levels are met to Customer contractual agreements
•Work with Sales and Primal Planning Teams to establish the overall financial cost and benefits of accepting alternative or more complex specifications taking production impacts and Primal availability into account
•Liaise with the Livestock and Primal Planning Teams to ensure an ongoing forecast of livestock supply in line with the planning horizons (with the forecast for the next week being very accurate, next month being relatively accurate and for 12 months being indicative)
•Liaise with Sales and Operations manager on Primal short falls and suggest procurement opportunities.
•Provide on-going feedback to the Sales, Livestock and Primal Planning Teams team on upcoming stock needs over each of the planning horizons.
•Liaise with the Financial Controller ensuring alignment of the plan with the financial budgets.
•Monitor and report weekly to the executive on the adherence to the plan, reporting all variances to livestock supply, production output and fulfilment of planned orders. Report any amendments to the plan during the week and provide justification.
•Prepare and issue the daily cut plans.
•Creating New items within production systems.
