Veterinary Anaesthesia Specialist
This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-class, outcome-based education and training centre in veterinary anaesthesia. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and excellence in clinical service delivery and teaching of anaesthesia to our students.
The role will suit an Australian Fellow or American/European Boarded Anaesthesia and Analgesia specialist with a track record in excellence in patient care and a passion for imparting knowledge, teaching and mentoring students to develop their clinical thinking and skills.
As a Veterinary Anaesthesia Specialist, you will contribute to the development and delivery of our programmes through course coordination, lectures, tutorials, practicals and clinical rotations. You will also provide advanced anaesthesia services to our clinicians in both the Companion Animal and Large Animal Hospitals.
We offer a unique team approach to delivering clinical excellence, working alongside a strong clinical support team of nurses and trainee Veterinary Technologists. Our modern and well-equipped facilities offer a range of services to the general public, ranging from primary opinion, emergency and specialist referral veterinary services across the large and companion animal side.
Working in a clinical training environment for final year veterinary students, you will have the opportunity to make an important contribution to the education of the next generation of veterinarians and veterinary technologists by involving students in case management and modelling the highest standards of clinical excellence and professional behaviour.
This role will allow you to expand your specialist expertise in the clinic as well as the classroom, and to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of a Go8 University and South Australia's only veterinary teaching hospital.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Specialist qualifications in Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia;
* A qualification in Veterinary Science acceptable for registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of South Australia;
* Proven ability to contribute independently to a clinical service in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia;
* Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of clinical and teaching teams.
