James Sheahan Catholic High School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated HSIE Coordinator (2 Point) to support the HSIE faculty. This key leadership role for an experienced educator requires comfortable leadership of a KLA team and successful liaison with students, staff, parents and relevant organisations regarding the HSIE curriculum and classroom.
About the Role
As a HSIE Coordinator, you will:
* Lead the effective organisation, coordination, and delivery of the HSIE curriculum in line with NESA and Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst (CEDB) requirements.
* Model and promote the Catholic ethos, mission, and values through professional practice and relationships.
* Foster collaborative, evidence-based teaching practices that improve student learning outcomes.
* Manage faculty programs, assessment schedules, and compliance requirements.
* Support and mentor staff through professional learning, goal-setting, and performance development.
* Analyse and respond to student data to drive continuous improvement.
* Manage faculty budgets and resources effectively.
* Build positive relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community.
About You (selection criteria)
* Ability to lead a KLA team and to successfully liaise with students, staff, parents and relevant organisations regarding HSIE curriculum and classroom.
* Commitment to Catholic education and a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic School.
* Demonstrated ability to promote a culture of effort, engagement and excellence through the development of a positive, supportive student environment and related structures.
* Developed understanding of a Professional Learning Community mindset and commitment to evidence-driven improvement for all students.
* Appropriate tertiary qualifications and experience in teaching a range of Junior and Senior HSIE Courses.
* Willingness to undertake administrative, curriculum and supervisory duties associated with the position.
