About The Role
As the Senior Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the wellbeing and mental health of students and their families.
You will provide professional supervision, leadership, and advocacy to school social workers within the region, while also delivering direct support to students and families in need.
This role is integral to the Student Wellbeing Workforce, ensuring that every student has access to a wellbeing professional at school.
Key Responsibilities
Providing professional mental health and social welfare assessments, interventions, and follow-up support to students and families, including those in schools with complex needs.
Leading and supporting social workers to deliver safe, high-quality social work services through clinical supervision and professional development initiatives.
Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, school communities, and inter-agency networks to coordinate support for students experiencing mental health and social/emotional challenges.
Contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, practices, and protocols related to social work services in schools.
Supporting school communities in responding to critical incidents and emergencies as part of the school and regional response teams.
