About the Role
This position is responsible for delivering dental care to eligible patients in accordance with their identified needs.
The role may be based at one of several Barwon Health dental clinics located across the region, including Belmont and Newcomb Community Health Centres.
As part of an inter-disciplinary team focused on population health, the position delivers high-quality and cost-effective dental services that meet the diverse needs of clients.
This position operates within a multi-disciplinary environment incorporating shared processes and interventions that recognize the breadth of client and community health needs beyond primary presentations.
The role requires engagement with individuals and communities to achieve improvement in the health of the population, promoting oral health and well-being through evidence-based practices.
To excel in this position, you will need excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
You will work collaboratively as part of an inter-professional team to develop and implement programs aimed at improving oral health outcomes for the population.
This includes participating in multidisciplinary meetings, developing treatment plans, and providing education to patients on good oral health practices.
Additionally, you will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, participate in professional development activities, and engage in reflective practice to maintain currency and stay up-to-date with best practices.
With a focus on preventive care, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to identify and address oral health issues early, ensuring timely intervention and optimal patient outcomes.
