About the Position The College of Education, Psychology and Social Work is seeking a Lecturer in Early Childhood Education to contribute to teaching and research in birth-5 education and care, and literacy and/or numeracy education. The role includes developing and delivering curriculum, conducting research, mentoring and supervising students, and building partnerships with industry, government and community stakeholders.
* Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum.
* Undertake high-quality research aligned with the College's strengths, with publications and external funding where possible.
* Supervise and mentor students undertaking Work Integrated Learning (WIL), Honours, and/or Higher Degree Research projects.
* Build and sustain partnerships to enhance teaching, learning and research outcomes.
About You You are a passionate academic with a commitment to advancing early childhood education. You bring creativity, rigour, and innovation to teaching and research, and you aim to prepare students to be outstanding educators and leaders in the sector.
* A PhD or equivalent qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
* Evidence of expertise in literacy and/or numeracy education in birth-5 settings.
* Experience in innovative and high-quality teaching at tertiary level, including curriculum design and topic coordination.
* A developing or established research profile with quality publications and success in attracting external funding (commensurate with career stage).
