Freight Forwarding Officer

We are seeking a Freight Forwarding Officer to join our operations team. The role will be responsible for coordinating international sea freight shipments, with a strong focus on RORO services including vehicles, High & Heavy cargo, and MAFI units, ensuring seamless end-to-end order management and timely customer communication.
What you'll do
* Manage customer requirements by collaborating with global teams to validate solutions and provide competitive quotations.
* Coordinate shipment schedules with customers, shipping lines, and port/agent contacts to ensure timely execution.
* Oversee customer orders from booking through to delivery, monitoring progress and keeping clients proactively informed.
* Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, manifests, customs, and port paperwork.
* Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, shipping agencies, and stevedoring service providers to resolve issues or delays.
* Maintain accurate shipment records, manage reconciliations with suppliers and customers, and liaise with Finance to facilitate invoicing.
* Drive continuous improvement in freight forwarding operations and customer service by leveraging operational data and KPIs.
What you'll bring
* Experience in freight forwarding, shipping lines, port operations, or shipping agencies is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of sea freight, with exposure to RORO service and H&H is preferred.
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and shipment tracking.
* Familiarity with freight systems (CargoWise experience highly regarded).
* A proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment.
* Mandarin language skills are an advantage, but not essential.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
