Excavator Operator – Civil Construction
TP Dynamics is a well-established Development and Construction company that has been growing within the Canberra construction industry for over a decade. We deliver projects ranging from high-density residential, commercial, and civil works.
Our civil division specialises in bulk and detailed excavation, demolition, infrastructure works, and small civil projects. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our team.
About the Role
As an Excavator Operator, you will be a key part of our civil construction team, working across a variety of projects throughout Canberra. This role requires a high level of skill, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety, particularly when working around services and within live sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Operating excavators (various sizes) for bulk and detailed excavation
* Trenching, footing excavation, and final trim
* Working around underground services and within tight environments
* Loading trucks and assisting with site preparation
* Daily pre-start checks and basic machine maintenance
* Working closely with supervisors, spotters, and ground crew
* Adhering to all site safety and compliance requirements
Skills & Experience
* Demonstrated experience operating excavators in a civil construction environment
* Ability to perform detailed excavation and final trim
* White Card (essential)
* Asbestos Awareness (or willingness to obtain)
* Strong safety awareness and positive attitude
* Ability to work reasonable overtime and weekends if required
