Job Description:
As a Technology and Commercial Contracting Lawyer in the Macquarie Global Legal and Governance Group's central Commercial Legal team, you will play a key role in supporting the Group implement its technology strategy.
You will work in a dynamic and innovative environment supporting the core technology, cybersecurity and network services that power Macquarie as well as the technology requirements of each of the Group's four operating businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review, draft and negotiate contracts with technology and commercial partners to ensure they are fit for purpose and align with business objectives.
* Ensure legal and regulatory risks are effectively managed across the Group.
* Collaborate with internal clients to provide quality client service on a range of local and global projects.
Requirements:
* Admitted to practice in Australia with at least 5 years' experience in technology contracting, either in-house or in private practice.
* Exceptional attention to detail, risk management awareness and commercial acumen.
* Innovative mindset and ability to adapt to change.
* Team player with experience advising on data, privacy, fraud and cyber security, prudential regulation, and emerging technologies such as natural language systems and generative AI.
