Our Federal Government Client is seeking an experienced Boomi Technical Business Analyst to join their team. If you're looking for an opportunity to make a difference, this is the role for you. Your main role will be to perform technical analysis and design for innovative solutions delivered over digital channels, including mobile applications. Role Details This is a 12-month role with a 12-month extension option. The position is open to ACT and VIC residents. It is open to Australian Citizens who can obtain a Baseline Clearance. Key Responsibilities Assess business objectives, formulate technical solution options, and coordinate stakeholder support. Produce and contribute to artefacts such as solution context diagrams, sequence diagrams, data flow models, and integration specifications. Evaluate existing solutions and third-party products for alignment with architecture strategy. Own end-to-end traceability of technical requirements, ensuring alignment with business value and security standards. Facilitate technical workshops to elicit non-functional requirements, integration needs, and deployment considerations. Collaborate with Business Analysts and Business Relationship Managers to align technical and business objectives. Ensure compliance with Cyber.gov.au security standards, including identity management and data sovereignty. Assess current capabilities and guide service extraction, rationalisation, or redesign based on standards. Support Domain Architects in technical analysis for a componentised platform aligned with SOA principles. Assist in decomposing monolithic applications into services and APIs, producing detailed artefacts. Create or augment technical user stories from business requirements. Incorporate complex technical considerations from agency and vendor perspectives to produce pragmatic outcomes. Minimum Requirements Experience in complex government projects, especially in B2C & B2B service processes within public sector domains. Experience working with governance, compliance, and cross-agency stakeholders. Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent. Enthusiasm for accessible design and development. 7 to 9 years of experience as a Technical Analyst or Tech BA in large-scale environments. Extensive experience with technical analysis and design of modern applications. Strong knowledge of API concepts, integration platforms (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft), and data modelling. Excellent facilitation and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple complex technical considerations and navigate ambiguity. Experience with agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery frameworks.
