Senior Accountant or Supervisor in Echuca

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Echuca office in a key, full-time, on-site role.
This position suits an accountant who enjoys variety, autonomy and regular face-to-face client interaction. The Echuca office services a community-focused client base, and confidence in managing in-person meetings and walk-in enquiries is essential
About the Role
You will play a senior role within the Echuca office, managing a portfolio of clients and working closely with the Accounts Assistant and other senior team members to ensure high-quality outcomes and smooth day-to-day operations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparation and review of financial statements for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies and SMSFs
* Preparation and review of income tax returns, BAS and IAS
* Managing and advising a portfolio of clients, delivering practical and timely advice
* Conducting in-person client meetings and managing walk-in enquiries
* Liaising with the ATO and other statutory bodies
* Reviewing bookkeeping files and providing guidance to the Accounts Assistant
* Assisting with workflow management, deadlines and office priorities
* Identifying issues and opportunities for clients
* Maintaining high standards of documentation and compliance
About You
* 5+ years' experience in public practice accounting
* Degree qualified in Accounting (CPA or CA qualified or near completion preferred)
* Strong technical knowledge across compliance and business services
* Confident and professional communicator, particularly in face-to-face client settings
* Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of client outcomes
* Supportive team member who enjoys mentoring and sharing knowledge
