King Air is a reputed ISO-Certified HVAC-R company delivering high-quality commercial, industrial, and refurbishment projects across the greater Canberra Region.
Due to substantial growth, we are expanding our technical team and are seeking experienced, skilled individuals who can work across a diverse range of systems and environments.
With multiple opportunities available, the successful candidate(s) can nominate their preference to join either our service or installation team. However, movement between teams and responsibilities may occur based on business needs.
Core Responsibilities:
* Service, install and repair refrigeration and air conditioning systems
* Diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, and control systems
* Provide expert solutions and optimise system performance
* Monitor, adjust, and troubleshoot Building Management Systems (BMS) and refrigeration controls
* Conduct Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) works
* Provide accurate and dynamic quotes
* Liaise with clients and other trades to ensure systems operate efficiently
* Prepare comprehensive service reports, ensuring compliance with standards.
* Work independently while being supported by a collaborative team
* Take and upload job photos for compliance and documentation
* Adhere to safety regulations and company policies
Mandatory Requirements:
* Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent qualification)
* Restricted Electrical Licence (EST)
* Refrigerant Handling Licence
* Australian C Class Driver's License
* White Card
Preferred Requirements:
* Experience or knowledge of BMS, controls, and automation systems
* Ability to read electrical schematics and control diagrams
* Proven experience servicing and installing ducted air conditioning systems
* Experience or knowledge of using SimPro or similar software
This role suits a driven technician who combines strong technical capability with excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
Opportunities to mentor junior technicians are available for those interested, but not mandatory.
