What you'll be doing
* Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children, in line with approved menus and dietary requirements.
* Ensure food is prepared and served in accordance with food safety standards and service policies.
* Maintain kitchen hygiene and complete cleaning routines.
* Manage food purchasing, deliveries, and stock control within budget.
* Record and monitor food storage and temperature checks.
* Work collaboratively with the early learning team to support the overall wellbeing of children.
What you'll bring
* Relevant qualifications and/or experience in food preparation.
* Knowledge of food handling and food safety guidelines.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* A team player with excellent interpersonal skills, especially with children and co-workers.
* Commitment to maintaining health and safety practices.
* You must hold a Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Tas) and a current (dated within 6 months) National Police Check Certificate.
Why you'll love working with us
* Hourly rate between $34.10 and $34.77 (depending on skills and experience) + 13% superannuation.
* This is a permanent, part-time position (total 22 hours per week).
* The work pattern is Mondays: 8:00am – 1:00pm, and Tuesdays to Fridays 9:00am – 1:00pm.
