About the Role
As an Entry-Level Underground Miner, you will gain hands-on experience in:
* Operating large mining equipment, including trucks, loaders, and integrated tool carriers (ITs)
* Installing and maintaining critical infrastructure that supports underground operations
* Working alongside drills and other heavy machinery
* Operating safely in dynamic environments, including working at heights
* Supporting mining operations
* Roster is 7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off, rotating 12-hour shifts at Roxby Downs
* Important considerations: Some roles involve physically demanding tasks, including lifting, pushing, and pulling
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 2+ years' work experience in any industry
* Valid driver's license and ability to operate a manual vehicle prior to joining BHP
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
* Team player with a safety-first mindset
* Ability to adapt to shift work and time away from home
* Experience in civil construction, agriculture, meat processing, industrial, warehousing, disability support, aged care, or health services is highly regarded but not essential
