Overview
Artback NT is looking for a Visual Arts Coordinator to support the delivery of our visual arts touring programs. Based in either Garramilla / Darwin or Mparntwe / Alice Springs, this coordinator role will be a chance to play a pivotal role in facilitating tours that connect artists and audiences across the Territory and beyond.
You'll work closely with the Visual Arts Manager to develop and plan the logistics and administration necessary to deliver vibrant visual arts programs. That means building strong relationships with venues, leading all touring exhibition logistics and working closely between all stakeholders to ensure marketing, PR and operational plans are coordinated to meet all project timelines.
Responsibilities
* Can multi-task and problem solve to work within immovable timelines
* Has experience in an administration, logistical and/or project planning environment
* Knows the visual arts and museum landscape and how to navigate it
* Works well with others and values collaboration
* Is passionate about supporting artists and communities across the NT
This is a desk-based position with the occasional opportunity to travel with our touring exhibitions to support installs and deinstalls. If you're excited by the idea of working in a small, passionate team and helping bring Territory-made work to the world, we'd love to hear from you.
Salary: $75k pro rata plus superannuation
Leave: 6 weeks annual leave
Hours: 22.5hr week (flexible across 3–5 days)
Occasional out of hours work and opportunities to travel
Contract: 2-year fixed term part-time contract
