Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned plumber to lead our plumbing team in a full-time, 12-month fixed-term role.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of plumbing technicians across multiple sites. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the delivery of high-quality maintenance services across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general trades.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a team of plumbing technicians, setting daily priorities and delegating tasks to maximise productivity.
* Manage scheduling of technicians, monitor progress, report variances, and adjust work programs to meet deadlines.
* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure all plumbing work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards.
* Liaise with colleagues on Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting and resource planning.
* Ensure all plumbers are properly inducted, trained, and compliant with site requirements and OHS regulations.
* Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues.
* Install, maintain, and repair water supply, drainage, gas, heating systems, TMVs, backflow devices, Zip units, and DWV systems as required.
* Respond to service calls, including after-hours emergencies, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Requirements
* Registered plumber with at least 3-5 years proven leadership experience.
* Background in maintenance and commercial plumbing.
* Valid White Card and Driver's License.
* Solid understanding of OH&S and risk management.
* Tech-savvy – experience with Fergus (or similar) and Microsoft platforms.
* Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail in all tasks.
