OverviewThe ProjectThe Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia, has secured the contract to deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including more than 4kms of twin three-lane tunnels, road and bridge construction and complex M&E; installations.
Open to traffic in 2031, the T2D alliance will offer the people of Adelaide an prospect to be part of an iconic project, with career stability and the potential for career progression and development.RoleAs a Graduate/Site Engineer on the T2D Alliance you will provide onsite or office-based engineering services and technical support to ensure the successful delivery of designated scopes of work.
Reporting to a Project Engineer and working closely with Supervisors, Contractors, HSE representatives and commercial staff, your key responsibilities will focus on Safety/Safety in Design, Constructability (design methodology), Cost, Productivity, Quality and Subcontractor Management.Roles And ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specificationReview and understand Diaphragm wall shop drawingsKnowledge of diaphragm wall constructionAssist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reportsMonitor construction progress for adherence to program and report to the Project EngineerInterpret designs for implementation in constructionContribute to improve the existing designsArrange and oversee the letting of tendersDemonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisionsAssign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards and specificationExecute working knowledge of contractual and legislation relevant to the projectDemonstrate stakeholder management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes.About YouBachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Building Construction, Construction Management or equivalentSite engineering experienceWide level of planning, development and review of projectsAdvanced skills in relevant computer software packages; Microsoft Suite etcWritten, verbal and presentation skills e.g. facilitating meetings, pre starts and toolbox meetings and basic cost control skillsWe offerYour success is our success, and as an Alliance, we are committed to being an employer of choice in Adelaide.
