Total Harvesting Pty Ltd is a privately owned and operated company with a strong reputation in the forestry sector.
We are logging & chipping contractors who conduct both harvesting and haulage operations within the southern and great southern area, currently operating within pine and bluegum plantation sectors.
We maintain a fleet of production and haulage vehicles, and pride ourselves on the standards we achieve. The role on offer is a relatively unsupervised small team position, operating in a high volume contracting environment.
Due to growth within our organisation, this role offers a rare opportunity for an experienced Parts Purchasing Coordinator to work from our Operations Centre in Bunbury. We are looking for a dynamic individual who has worked in a similar role and wants to develop their career further with a business that will only continue to grow.
The Role
The Parts Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for purchasing critical parts, effectively managing warranties, and minimising business costs.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with freight and parts suppliers to minimise in-store inventory costs and maximise the availability of rapidly moving and slow-moving stock items.
* Liaise with internal mechanical departments in requirements for parts, consumables and stock items.
* Liaise with the General Manager and other key stakeholders to ensure the lowest practical cost of purchasing all parts through agreements and arrangements across the industry.
* Ensure out-of-hours rush parts procurement is minimised across the business.
* Conduct both purchase order generation and approvals, as required.
* Apply lean management and continuous improvement techniques to improve workshop schedules and maintenance.
* Conform to all Total Harvesting Pty Ltd's policies and procedures, particularly those impacting maintenance and workshop processes, along with purchasing requirements.
Qualifications
* Experience in parts sourcing and procurement.
* Understanding of truck and trailer parts.
* Excellent communication with suppliers, workshop and operational personnel.
* Exposure to MaintainX would be advantageous.
Application Requirements
* Ability to undertake a drug and alcohol test prior to employment.
* Commit to working 45 hours per week.
