Your work ensures accurate job costing, timely purchase orders, and compliant documentation once a project has moved beyond initial estimating and is ready for delivery.In this role, you will review plans and specifications, evaluate materials, labour, and equipment, and prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for new home builds.
You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants across a diverse project portfolio, from custom residential builds to light commercial and infrastructure works.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare BOQs and cost plans for custom homes, townhouses & duplexesTender submissions for both D&C and construction-only contractsCoordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to gather quotes, scopes, and schedulesParticipate in design feasibility and value engineering discussionsMaintain and update pricing databases and assist in post-tender reviewsCollaborate with stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project goals and compliance standardsSkills and ExperienceProven production estimating experience in residential, multi-unit, or custom/commercial construction.
Minimum 3 years experience in Residential ConstructionExpertise in estimating software including Builder Trend (preferred), CostX, Cubit, Bluebeam or BuildsoftStrong Excel skills and familiarity with pricing databasesExcellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skillsHigh attention to detail, methodical thinking, and time management ability is critical for this roleBroad exposure to varied residential and commercial projectsBe part of a well-respected, community-focused construction groupCollaborative and supportive team environment with opportunities for career growth
