About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented
Scheduling and Customer Service Officer
to join our Brisbane-based team in Wacol. This is a
full time
, contract position until the end of November 2026, reporting directly to the Customer Service Manager – Admixtures/GA/UTT.
This position is primarily focused on accurately scheduling and oversee dispatching of deliveries to meet customer requirements. The role requires to process customer orders in D365 and daily calendar. There is a significant time spent on the phone liaising with customers regarding their daily order requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude with a strong work ethic and thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift throughout the day. You'll need to be comfortable with repetitive data entry tasks while maintaining consistently high accuracy standards. Strong multitasking abilities and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensuring efficient and effective daily scheduling and oversee dispatching of deliveries to meet customer requirements
* Contact batchers/engineers in a timely manner in relation to their order requirements via phone/email
* Follow up plants regarding order requirements prior to cut off time
* Process customer requirements into D365 and Admixtures/GA & UTT daily calendar and follow each business unit workflow
* Perform daily tracking of documentation and ensure it is accurately filled into D365 – IBMCM
* Working with other schedulers, Mapei warehouse teams along with transport teams to ensure the right load is scheduled into the correct run
* Book transport with Mapei transport providers
* Make any necessary updates to schedules and orders as needed, including rescheduling and cancellations
* Initiate investigations into concerns raised in relation to credit requests
About You:
You are a reliable and organised professional who excels at detailed, repetitive work and takes pride in maintaining high accuracy standards. You understand that precision matters when processing high volumes of data and have the focus to stay accurate throughout the day. You're comfortable working both independently at your desk and collaborating with team members when needed. You have strong keyboard skills and the ability to maintain concentration during data-intensive tasks while adapting to changing priorities.
What You Bring:
* Strong keyboard, computer knowledge and applications required (Microsoft products) excel and outlook preferable
* High data entry accuracy, at competent speed.
* Minimum 2-3 years customer service/administration experience preferred.
* Self-motivated with the ability to communicate effectively in a team environment as well as operate independently when required.
* High attention to detail.
* Competent self-management.
* Sound problem solving.
* Patience, empathy and courtesy towards work colleagues and customers.
* Able to think quickly and logically to ensure expedient responses to customer enquiries.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Strong numeric, oral, and written language skills.
