SHEET METAL WORKER/FABRICATOR - 1ST CLASS
About Our Client
Our client is a sheet metal manufacturing company that produces roofing and rainwater goods.
About the Role
Due to expanding shifts, a role has become available for a sheet metal tradesperson in a small, tight-knit team. The metal fabricator will work Monday to Friday with a small team in the factory. The role involves receipting paperwork and manufacturing/fabricating sheet metal goods to order.
* Fabricate, weld, and produce various rainwater goods (downpipes, rainwater heads etc.)
* Light gauge steel fabrication work
* General machine operation
About You
You're able to work both autonomously and in a team and have a good eye for detail. You have at least 3 years of experience in a sheet metal factory, working on light gauge steel fabrication (stainless steel/aluminium/mild steel/colorbond) and have experience slitting to length lines. You're able to operate a forklift and various machines (Turret punch, brake presses, folding machines, guillotines, etc.).
Strong English & math skills and the ability to interpret drawings/3D shapes (tapered flashings) are a must.
* 3+ years experience in a sheet metal factory, with trade work
* Light gauge steel fabrication experience
* AQF Certificate III (Metal Fabricator) or equivalent qualification preferred

What's on Offer:
* Permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week + overtime opportunities)
* $35 - $40 per hour (AUD)
