Position: Food Service Assistant at Launceston General Hospital
Provide high-standard food service to hospital patients, staff, and visitors at LGH. Assist with food preparation, production, plating, service, ware-washing, and cleaning duties in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and guidelines.
1. Maintain high standards of food preparation, production, service, meal distribution, ware-washing, and cleaning in hospital service areas, adhering to relevant codes of practice.
2. Participate actively in the organisation’s Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including safety system development, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people, and related training.
3. Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and walls are cleaned and sanitised as directed by supervisors and in accordance with guidelines.

Details of Appointment:
Fixed-term, casual, shift work position, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months. Hours are negotiable.

Salary:
$57,130 to $62,486 per annum (pro-rata), plus 11.5% superannuation contribution. Salary in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
