We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Payroll Officer for immediate start. A payroll officer is responsible for accurately processing and managing employee payroll. They play a crucial role in ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time while adhering to legal and organizational regulations.
Responsibilities
* Manage and process weekly payroll for approximately 300 employees.
* Process end to end payroll efficiently and in a timely manner using HR3 software.
* Collecting and verifying employee timesheets, calculating hours worked, overtime, bonuses and deductions.
* Managing calculation of redundancies, termination, leave cashing outs.
* Conducting Weekly PAYG lodgement, Monthly payroll tax lodgements and year end reconciliation for all payroll categories
* Ensure all pay categories meet statutory obligations with ATO and Fair Work.
* Preparing Quarterly superannuation contributions, adjustments, and audits.
* Lodging monthly child support
* Conducting end of year reconciliations, and lodging payment summaries aligned with STP.
* Assist where necessary with the HR advisor to update of new employees.
* Responding to queries related to payroll, entitlements, and award.
* Ad-hoc duties related to pay matters.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a payroll processing
* Experience in HR3 payroll is preferable.
* Intermediate- Microsoft Office Skills specifically with Excel
* Sound knowledge of award interpretation and EBA
* Strong analytical and critical thinking
* Ability to work under pressure and with little supervision.
