About Us

HOPE Community Services has been providing vital support to Western Australians for over 120 years, with a focus on alcohol and other drugs, mental health, justice, and family and domestic violence. We are committed to building safe, respectful, and empowered communities.

Our Mara Pirni Healing Centre, based in Kalgoorlie, offers culturally safe and trauma-informed support for women, children, and families impacted by Family and Domestic Violence (FDV). In partnership with Wanslea Family Services, Ngunytju Tjitji Pirni (NTP), One Tree Community Services, and the Aboriginal Legal Service WA, we deliver collaborative and holistic services across the Goldfields North Region.

About the Role

We are seeking Safety Advocates who are passionate about making a real difference. This role focuses on providing culturally safe support and advocacy for women and children experiencing family and domestic violence.

Key responsibilities include:

* Accepting referrals, conducting intake, and performing risk/needs assessments
* Developing and implementing case management strategies
* Building trust and providing one-on-one support
* Supporting clients to maintain personal safety
* Advocating access to relevant services and making warm referrals
* Ensuring alignment with WA FDV Risk Assessment and Management Framework
* Maintaining accurate case notes, reports, and data records

* Full-time role – 76 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday in Kalgoorlie
* $44.58 p/hr + super + $2.78 regional allowance

You'll Need

* A relevant social service degree or diploma (desirable) or significant relevant experience
* Strong cultural knowledge, skills, and community networks
* Experience in FDV support and working with survivors and perpetrators
* Knowledge of the WA FDV Common Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework (desirable)
* Understanding of Equal Opportunity principles
* Valid driver's license, National Police Clearance (within 3 months), Working With Children Card, and First Aid Certificate
