As a leader in the Allied Health Administration team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our department.
Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the daily activities of the team, including scheduling, administration, billing, and debt functions. In collaboration with the Allied Health Manager, you will work towards maximizing the utilization of the department's resources across both outpatients and private practice services.
The position requires direction, support, and supervision of administration caregivers working in the Allied Health Department. You will be responsible for managing the orientation of new caregivers and ensuring they are properly equipped to perform their duties. Additionally, you will manage the scheduling of the department to maximize activity, focusing on community need and St John of God mission and values.
A key aspect of this role is the coordination of outpatient appointments in line with health fund billing rules and guidelines. You will also manage outpatient and private practice billing matrices to facilitate accurate and timely billing of outpatients.
You will have experience in patient administration roles in a coordinator/team leader capacity, preferably within a healthcare environment. To succeed in this position, you must possess strong resource management skills, ability to meet deadlines, and prioritize workload effectively.

* Salary: $70,272 to $72,002 (pro rata for part-time)
* Fixed-term part-time position, working up to 66 hours per fortnight for a period of 14 months
