We have a hands-on role where you can connect and make a difference with the community.
You'll gain practical, on-the-job experience in all aspects of modern public library service delivery, while working towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Library and Information Services.
You will work across various Libraries locations: All locations are accessible by public transport.
Over the 24-month period you will work closely with the Library Programs team, assisting with the development and delivery of programs for children, youth, adults, seniors and culturally and linguistically diverse community members, as well as technology programs for a range of audiences.
Other areas of work will include Local History and Home Library service delivery.
You will also work with the Library Operations team in delivering customer service and gain experience in all aspects of public library service delivery.
What you'll be doing:
Assist library visitors face-to-face and over the phone
Assist with IT and online resource queries
Support a range of programs including children's, youth, adult, seniors, STEAM and culturally and linguistically diverse communities
Assist with creating engaging library displays and projects
Operate library technology
Assist with collection management and maintenance
Looking for someone who is:

Creative and a team player
Must have a current Working with Children's Check
